· I haven't had the time to put together complete Initial Coverage Research on them yet, but they are definitely companies under review for coverage.
· They are companies I like (and have perhaps covered in the past) but may have moved beyond my typical coverage matrix because of their size, additional industry coverage etc. I include them because I have a pretty good sense that they represent compelling stories that, while I may not cover, I think subscribers should take a close look at.
· They are companies I am intrigued by, but may lack a few components that I think are necessary before coverage is warranted. Those "components" might include financing issues or other variables that these companies are attempting to address and in the event that they are successful may cause me to look more seriously at coverage.
After 24 months on the First Look list, the entries "expire" and I accumulate their performance at those relative points in time in the newsletter (to keep the list from getting too large).
