Research Sales Associate
What You'll Do:
- Develop into a research sales specialist within the technology, consumer, and internet industries.
- Relentlessly prospect & curate a list of leads in the institutional investor community, to drive new business development.
- Regularly service institutional investor clients by fielding inbound requests, managing research distributions, setting up analyst calls, and assisting in marketing efforts.
- Leverage research reports, marketing materials, idea generation, and develop new marketing materials to penetrate an existing client base further.
- Grow the customer knowledge base by forging new relationships with hedge funds and long-only money managers worldwide.
- Present research, industry themes, and outlook to institutional investor clients, remotely and in person.
- Perform a variety of operational tasks supporting the sales team.
Requirements to Apply:
- Intellectually curious & capable of communicating complex concepts to institutional investor clients.
- Capable of critical thinking and intellectual humility, given the nuance and complexity of this industry.
- Exceptional communication skills for networking; prior sales/prospecting experience a significant plus.
- Exceptional project management skills & work ethic; the ability to work in teams and a self-starter.
- A track record of success in prior roles, 1-3 years preferred.
- Ability to work remotely and independently in a collaborative team environment.
- Data-oriented with proficient technology skills.
- Willingness to wear multiple hats in a dynamic & growing firm.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior sales, prospecting, or consulting experience is a significant plus.
- Prior research & analysis experience is a significant plus.
- Prior business and technical writing and modeling are a significant plus.
- Prior experience in – and/or knowledge of – investing and capital markets are a significant plus.
- Bachelor's degree. A business major is not required, though must be offset by sales/analysis/investment experience elsewhere.
- An interest in the stock market, comfortable making company-specific investment calls.
